About Us
The Adirondack Park consists of nearly 6,000,000 acres with about 130,000 year round
residents. It is one of the most unique wilderness camping destinations in the world.
Eight Boy Scout councils operate 10 Scout Camps in the Adirondacks offering Wilderness
Treks, Mountain and Rock Climbing, Mountain Biking, Canoeing, Sailing, White Water
Canoeing as well as basic Scout Camping. These 8 councils have formed a loose
association to combine resources for program development, marketing and interface
with the Adirondack Park and state agencies.
Scouts and Venturers from across America have the opportunity to experience the
Adirondacks. This website provides easy access to information about the adventure
programs available through Boy Scout operated facilities. This is the first and
primary mission of the AASC – to help you find information and to encourage you to plan
a trip to the Adirondacks.
