As a forever-wild area the Adirondack Park maintains its pristine environment by careful conservation management guided by the Adirondack Park Authority. Consult a New York State Map for the easiest methods of road systems into the area. The park is located in Northeastern New York State. Road access is easily accomplished, depending on your destination via Interstate 87 (the New York State Northway) on the East, Interstate 90 (The New York State Thruway) on the South, and Interstate 81 on its west.
